How membership works
Membership is measured by turning up.
A member is active in any semester by attending at least two club events, or participating meaningfully in one programme, workshop, or initiative. Active membership gives you voting rights and eligibility to stand for leadership roles.
Open to everyone
No family business background required. No applications, interviews, or shortlists.
A real vote
Active members vote in elections and can stand for leadership, including Chapter Head roles.

Member-led initiatives
Bring your own idea.
Any active member can propose a session: a speaker you want to invite, a workshop, a reading circle, an inter-club collaboration. Take it to the Chapter Head whose area it fits. They review it for fit and feasibility, and then you convene it, with the club handling coordination, logistics, and approvals.

Orientation
A welcome session covering the four chapters, what participation looks like, and the ways members can contribute or lead from their first semester.
Peer circle
A structured, small-group discussion where members compare contexts and work through family enterprise frameworks together.
Mentor match
Pairing with an Ashoka alumnus working in or advising a family enterprise, with a mid-year check-in built into the December calendar.
Speaker session
A fireside conversation with a founder, successor, or professional manager. Members ask the questions; nobody lectures.
Convene your own
Propose a session to the Chapter Head whose area it fits, and run it yourself, with the club handling coordination, logistics, and approvals.
